M3 Music Group was founded in 1979 as Lowa Level Entertainment, a record promotion and production company for music labels. After spinning vinyl stateside and across the Atlantic, the company settled in Germantown, Maryland for 18 years before making its final move to York, Pennsylvania in 2019. With its two studios in York, PA - The Lion's Den and Princess Studio - M3 continues its goal of turning the Mid-Atlantic region into a major marketing music arena such as those existing in areas like New York, California, and Atlanta, GA.
Lowa Level Entertainment conducted promotions for major record labels like Sony Music Group, Universal Music, and WEA. Simultaneously, it recorded demos to market to these labels. Later, it moved on to build its own studio to develop, market and distribute its own artists.
A search for talent lead to the New Mexico pop punk group Left Unsaid being signed as Lowa Level Entertainment's first managed and executively produced artists. Left Unsaid's first independent album "I Forgot" was released under Lowa Level Entertainment's label DK Records. Later, the company negotiated a deal for Left Unsaid with the independent Pennsylvania label BIE Records, which released and nationally distributed the group's second album "3 Degrees Lost."Lowa Level Entertainment later signed two more artists to album and management deals: Washington, DC rap artist Porche 9-11 and Maryland songstress Lea Adams. Both artists' CDs were released under the DK Records label. Porche 9-11's "My Life...This Me" was a personal hip hop tribute, and Adams' "Introducing...Lea Adams" spoke of love, life, and relationships.
Eventually, these artists and Lowa Level Entertainment parted ways, and, in a move aimed at re-positioning its operations, the company changed its name to M3 Music Group. The transition included upgrading its studio from an 8-track analog to a 24-track digital studio. During this progression, M3 Music Group continued to seek out new talent and develop old ties. In 2006, Rapper DUI signed with M3 Music Group and released a 4-song EP "Listen Without Prejudice" in February 2007. Thereafter, DUI released his full-length CD "A Season In Hell" in December 2007, and "This One's For You" in October 2009. Also, rapper Tony Montgomery completed an unreleased CD "Mid-Atlantic Moses" in November 2009.
Later, serving as the parent company, M3 Music Group restructured its business by reintroducing Lowa Level Productions and DK Records under its umbrella. In May 2012, DK Records debuted the single "Sieben Acht (Emcee Merk)" by Dj Raw Data featuring Wizz Brown from the LP "Boom-Bap & Backpacks" at WVST, Virginia State University radio.
In 2015, M3 Music Group C.E.O. Keith S. Mitchell, Sr., signed York, PA, hip hop emcee Rare Form (aka Kahlil Thompson) which eventually led to the birth of Lost Cause. Lost Cause, a hip hop collective, consisted of Rare Form, the hip hop emcee and DJ 10th Power (Keith S. Mitchell, Sr.), the group's producer. With moderate local success, the group performed at various venues throughout York, PA. In March 2016, Lost Cause released its first studio album "Paradise Depression," followed by its second released album "The Essence" in April 2017. With its growing popularity, this local award-winning group launched several videos, was featured in The Germantown Pulse, FlipsidePA, and WGAL News Center 8. After securing a distribution deal through OAG Management, Lost Cause marketed its music on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify.
M3 Music Group continues to build its catalog of music and networking. It is through this networking that M3 Music Group was contacted by Dr. Robert Robinson & Dr. Karla Robinson to create music for the opening of their internet talk radio show "Urban Housecall." M3 Producer Keith S. Mitchell's musical creativity was also recognized by Wild Mind Entertainment, another internet-based company. After some negotiating, Keith was hired by Wild Mind to serve as its Director of Music. M3's first assignment was to create theme music for Wild Mind's internet series "Razor Game." Though the series aired with positive reviews, and a ton of followers, as did other shows under the Wild Mind umbrella, the company's executives eventually parted ways and Wild Mind Entertainment faded to black.
Adding to its credentials, M3 collaborated with the York Revolution Baseball Team serving as one of its favorite vendors for DJ services for pre-game festivities, family festivals, weddings, receptions, and more!
With the launch of its most recent project, "The Qi Podcast," which is a spin-off of The Qi Vlog, M3 remains busy riding the wave of success with a whole new cast of players who will dive into debates on the latest trending topics.
While excited about its new projects, M3 continues hustling by creating music, discovering and signing local talent, and serving up DJ services throughout PA, MD, DC & VA.
